Submitted photo Debbe Vinje of Leonard's Bait and Tackle at Port Sonoma reports that last Saturday "... was an awesome day for striper fishing, especially in and around sloughs on the Petaluma and Napa rivers."

FISHING REPORT (Richmond Times-Dispatch)Captain Mike Hoke of Life's Revenge Guide Service (804-353-4474) reports that Russell Wetzel caught four blue cats, weighing 41, 38, 27 and 21 pounds, and 8and 10-pound flatheads. Douglas McCarney (Greencastle, Pa.) caught blue cats weighing 43, 33, 27.5 and 22 pounds, a 9-pound flathead and a 21-pound, 39.25-inch flathead. Weather conditions are improving and Hoke expects good catfish trends ...
