Legislature will again tackle access to bridges (Billings Gazette)HELENA - Lawmakers are again poised to take on the ticklish issue of public access to state waters from county bridges - a problem they failed to resolve two years ago despite wide public support.

Calendar (The Charlotte Observer) FISHING DEC. 7 Norman Fishery Alliance Striped Bass Tournament, Lake Norman. Registration 5-6 a.m. at Midway Marina Restaurant or during the week at Perth Road Tackle, Troutman. Entry fee $100 per boat, and participants must be NFA members at $25 per year. Anglers excited about local fishing (The Houma Courier)HOUMA - The weather might be getting colder, but anglers are reporting that the fishing is improving around the area. Kerry Beeson of Bridgeside Marina in Grand Isle said anglers are catching everything from redfish to speckled trout to drum."Everything is going pretty good right now," Beeson said.

Fishing: Take a day at the beach (Naples Daily News)The best fishing right now is right along the beaches from a quarter-mile to five miles out. Last week, schools of tiny glass minnows washed in, and a host of hungry predators followed.
