ASHBROOK FISHING DERBY DRAWS OVER 500 YOUTH (El Reno Tribune)The 2009 Mary K. Ashbrook Kids Fishing Derby reeled in one of its highest fields in recent years as over 500 youth anglers converged on Lake El Reno. The El Reno Sportsman's Club signed in 530 anglers for the four and a half hour derby, with the first 500 receiving a free Zebco rod and reel combo.

Local sponsors joining together for the annual Page County Fishing Derby (Clarinda Herald-Journal)Planning is underway for the annual fishing derby for area youth on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Pioneer Park, located on Highway 2 between Clarinda and Shenandoah. This event is offered free of charge for youth ages 5 thru 15, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
