Fishing license sales dip slightly in 2008 (Anchorage Daily News)New statistics from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game on fishing, hunting and trapping licenses sales shows that resident sport fish licenses dipped 3.3 percent last year -- and are down 7.2 percent since 2005. Just 109,141 Alaskans bought resident fishing licenses in 2008, the fewest since 1999 when the state population was considerably lower.
