Fishing still good on Lake Lanier (AccessNorthGA)FLOWERY BRANCH - Despite low water levels, Lake Lanier still offers a great fishing experience. A man caught a 36.5-pound striped bass measuring 40.5 inches long while on a guided tour in late January. The fish was caught using light spinning tackle, an eight-pound test line and an artificial lure.
