Bait sellers dispute shipping ban (The Buffalo News)Thousands of shiny minnows wriggle in a tank at Big Catch Bait and Tackle on Niagara Street. Normally, they would be shipped to bait shops from Vermont to Wisconsin.
Fishing report (Contra Costa Times)THE BAYS SUISUN: Jim Smith of the Happy Hooker caught 17 sturgeon (five keepers) and one bass Tuesday fishing between Roe and Ryer Islands. Matt Switzar caught a 70-incher and Dave Marquar of Antioch caught a 61-inch, 55-pound sturgeon. Smith said the Pittsburg PG&E area is also a good place to try, and the tides should keep improving all week.
December fishing has been great (The Trenton Times)December has reached the halfway mark, but there still is time to get in some good late-season fishing.
