Local Fishing Report: 08.14.08 (Corpus Christi Caller-Times)Redfish Bay and northward -- Deeper reefs and guts, and sections along the ICW held trout this week. The outside drop-off along Mud Island and the backside of San Jose Island held trout this week. Live piggies worked best, but topwaters produced early and soft plastics later.
Saltwater Tournament Results (The Lincoln County News)The 4th Annual Boothbay Region Fish & Game Association/White Anchor Tackle Shop Saltwater Tournament was held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9 and 10. Over 30 anglers entered the event, and although the fishing was challenging at best, five striped bass, three bluefish, and a dozen mackerel and pollock were brought in to the Boothbay Lobster Wharf to be measured by Weighmaster Keith Royal.
